In short, undercoating is the process of applying a compound to the bottom of a vehicle in order to give it a layer of protection against elements like snow, salt, and moisture that kick up from off the road. Bedliner Guys LLC has two undercoating solutions designed to meet your needs..
- 1 year oil based undercoating
- The 1 year oil based coating is a short term protection product. Great for getting through the winter season. Application of this product does not include any sandblasting. A simple undercarriage wash, followed by an application. It creates a liquid barrier blocking out salt and contaminants from further rust and damage.
- 5 year asphalt-based undercoating
- Our asphalt based product dries very fast to a crisp and clean flat black finish. It’s not oily, messy or wet. It makes the underside look like it rolled off the assembly line.
- 10 year wax-based coating
- Our wax-based undercoating takes much longer to dry out but boasts a long lifespan of 10 years. It can serve 2 purposes. If you’re looking for an economical choice, this product can be applied directly over rust. Ideally we do recommend full sandblasting in order to remove any rust or older coatings before application. That’s how we can ensure that 10 year life span.
